Nursery Co-Ordinator

A fantastic purpose built Nursery in South Cambridgeshire is seeking a Nursery Co-Ordinator to join their senior leadership team

As Nursery Co-Ordinator will support the Nursery Manager with the day to day running of a busy nursery setting, and will have the relevant skill, experience and aptitude to also cover the manager role in their absence.

The Nursery Co-Ordinator is responsible for leading and modelling exceptional practices within their allocated age group of Nursery setting and you will have a proven record of accomplishment in leadership, management and delivering best practice.

You will lead the Nursery's Room Leaders and Nursery practitioners, and work in conjunction with the Manager to ensure the delivery of exceptionally high quality care and education.

As Assistant Nursery Manager you will also support the Manager in additional elements of the Nursery's operations, and as such will have experience in HR processes, compliance and parental and community partnerships.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
, To support Nursery Manager in leading to achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
, To support Nursery Manager to effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
, To support the Nursery Manager to ensure all policies, procedures and curriculums are implemented and adhered to at all times
, To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends
, To effectively manage the budgets and occupancy levels
, To implement an effective parent liaison programme, to be influential in developing strong links with parents
, To support the Nursery Manager to manage all day to day operations of the Nursery.

, To work as part of a cohesive Community Team to ensure effective outcomes for all children attending the setting.

, To review company policies and procedures.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:
, NNEB, CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3
, Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation
, Knowledge of OFSTED standards
, Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
, Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
, Good time management skills
, Excellent communication skills
, Strong people management skills
, Knowledge and understand of equal opportunities / SENCO etc.
, Previous relevant supervisory experience
