Land Buyer/Manager (Residential/Homes)

Our client work across a range of Residential builds and Mixed use schemes including Student Accommodation, PRS, Residential Apartment and Housing.

Currently they have an exciting opportunity for a Land Buyer, to be based within there Homes Division (Residential) in St Asaph.

Although the position would be based from the St.

Asaph Offices, the position will require travel to potential sites, so candidates need to be flexible with travel.

Land Buyer / Land Manager (Dependent on experience)


Managing Director of Homes


To manage all development projects


The following tasks are not in priority order

  • Source land and property for residential developments

  • Complete existing commercial developments agreed with Group Managing Director

  • Negotiate site purchases with owners and agree terms, overages etc.

  • Evaluate cost of sites.

  • Manage residential schemes through to receipt of planning consent

  • Manage commercial schemes through planning and to sales and lettings

  • Source land titles and ownership

  • Provide support to Homes Managing Director to develop strategies, policies, procedures for land development

  • Attend monthly Home Board meetings

  • Produce Homes Board land reports

  • Chair land development meetings, minute and circulate to relevant senior management and Homes Board members

  • Prepare and update development appraisals

  • Network and attend various professional functions and seminars as required to develop contacts and knowledge of potential and existing land developments



    • Requiring education/ qualification to a level of NVQ 5/ Professional qualification or equivalent experience.

    • 10 years of land development experience

    • Chartered status of building or construction sector
