Communications Executive

Applications are invited for the position of Communications Executive to join us at the world's leading Music and Contemporary Arts Awarding Organisations - RSL.

Already experienced in developing and implementing effective communications strategies, our ideal candidate will be responsible for the creation and delivery of a consistent, high quality external and internal communications strategy.

Communications Executive Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Communications Executive will be responsible for all content and channels, developing and delivering an effective internal and external communications strategy., raising awareness of our products to a wider and more diverse global audience and ensuring maximum visibility of the RSL brand.

Your responsibilities will also include:

* Developing the external communications strategy across all media platforms

* Seeking out opportunities to present RSL and its' viewpoint to the press and media

* Targeting new and exploiting existing contacts with journalists and other media representatives

* Supporting the marketing team during product launches and campaigns

* Listening to media reports and reading articles (printed and digital) relevant to the work of RSL and to the social and cultural context in which it operates

* Developing appropriate communications protocols to ensure effective and consistent dissemination of messages throughout the organisation

* Providing timely information to colleagues on Social Media issues, advising on appropriate responses

* Managing press conferences, launches and networking events

* Overseeing the production and editing of news reports, press releases and articles

* Ensure consistency in content and tone across all platforms.

The Ideal Communications Executive

* Relevant professional qualifications with a minimum of 2 years' post qualification experience

* Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing effective communications strategies

* Experience in leading on the delivery of effective and engaging messaging to reach diverse audiences

* Expertise in developing digital and traditional communications channels and of expanding digital presence

* Excellent understanding of the media on a national and international level

* Awareness of and interest in the arts, culture and education

Rewards & Benefits

In return for your hard work as our Publishing Executive, you can expect to receive a highly competitive basic salary of £23,000 - £25,000 per annum, a generous holiday allowance and a great range of benefits.
