Internal Account Manager - German Speaking

Our client is a distributer of electrical components and parts, mainly selling into the food and beverage industries, and they are currently recruiting for an Internal Account Manager to join their export team based in the Faringdon area, dealing with German speaking customers across Europe.

The role will require somebody to speak both fluent English and ideally fluent German, however a business level of proficiency in German will also be sufficient.



Reporting to the Export Sales Manager, the successful candidate will have a background in customer service or sales, be responsible for providing a high level of customer service by proactively dealing with all customer enquiries, answering customer calls and reviewing demand to ensure that orders are accurately processed, and the call/sales opportunity is maximised to ensure that the full product range is made available to the customer.

Applicants must be able to keep a cool head under pressure maintaining the ability to present, identify and communicate with customers at all levels of opportunity and have a can-do attitude to all challenges.



Typical Duties



Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:



Candidates will need to have demonstrable inside sales and customer service experience, ideally within a technical product environment B2B environment.

Candidates will require sound knowledge and experience to quickly gain customer confidence and provide solid sales generation performance.

To target and identify new opportunities with customers from the general companies' product range or specific set areas and industry specific products with the actions to generate quotations, sales visits and sales.

To ensure customer retention through excellent telephone relationship skills, arrange visits for the field sales team and to develop new opportunity and maintain best in class customer service.

It is essential that applicants have excellent organisational and communication skills with a solid knowledge of MS office and standard B2B sales procedures.
