Senior Residential Support Worker

We have an exceptional new role available for a Senior Residential Support Worker, to join an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated Residential home.

The organisation is a small yet growing provider of residential services who provide care and support for children and young people aged 8-18 years with Autism and Learning disability.

Role/Responsibilities

As the Senior Residential Support Worker, your role is to act as role model to the staff team and children and young people.

Below is a list of some of the responsibilities to give you a general understanding of the Senior Support Worker position.



  • Act as positive role model for the staff & young people

  • To provide support and encouragement to staff offering advice, guidance and assistance

  • To ensure effective, positive communication within the team and promote best practice

  • Manage and lead a team of Support Workers monitoring performance, identifying development needs and supporting where needed


Requirements



  • NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce

    *or equivalent

    *

  • Experience working with children or young adults with learning disabilities

  • Minimum 1 year or more of experience working as a Senior/Team leader in residential care environment

  • Ability to interact with a range of young people

  • Ability to lead a team and to work as part of a team
