We have an exceptional new role available for a Residential Support Worker, to join an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated Residential home.

The organisation is a small yet growing provider of residential services who provide care and support for children and young people aged 8-18 years with Autism and Learning disability.

Role/Responsibilities

As the Residential Support Worker, your role is to be a general helping hand and role model to the children and young people.

Below is a list of some of the responsibilities to give you a general understanding of the Support Worker position.



  • To work as a keyworker to the children and young people

  • Encouraging and assisting the children and young people to be as independent as possible

  • Act as a positive role model for children, young people and other staff in the home.


  • Establishing and maintaining positive, caring relationships with children, young people and their families


Requirements



  • Experience working with children or young adults with learning disability is preferable, but we are open to applicants with little experience but strong motivation

  • Ability to provide consistency of care and support to the young people

  • Ability to interact with a range of people/young people

  • Ability to work as part of the Support Worker team
