Graduate Production/Materials Scheduler

Role: Graduate - Production/Materials Scheduler
Location: Wakefield/Normanton, West Yorkshire
Salary: £18,000 - £20,000

I am currently working with a large, multi-site business in the Wakefield/Normanton area who operate within the Food/FMCG industry.

An exciting opportunity for a production or materials orientated planner/scheduler, has arisen due to an internal promotion.

Working within this well accomplished team, will certainly offer you plenty of opportunities to learn and develop your skill sets alongside driven individuals, whilst being given the autonomy to utilise what you have already learnt.

Main duties will compromise of:
, Ensuring required materials are available within set targets
, Creating and changing schedules regularly
, Knowing supplier KPI's and checking them in accordance with what requirements are set
, Liaise with other departments, working as a cross-functional individual
, Maintaining and updating all tracker systems
, Capacity planning
, Work allocation to machine cells
, Progress monitoring
, Operating the ERP system
, Liaising with sales to determine customer requirements
, Develop a production schedule detailing all tasks and when they should be completed
, Liaise with customers, suppliers, and maintenance
, Troubleshoots problems that occur during production, including staff shortages and machinery breakdowns

Essential qualities

, Computer Literacy

Preferably degree or HND qualified in the following subjects
, Mathematics
, Engineering
, Business studies
, Production management
, Along with having 1-2 years' experience within a Scheduler role.
