General Manager

The Company and the Role:
The Company is an award winning gastro pub chain operating 8 sites in the South East.

They are currently seeking a General Manager for their gastro public house located near Epsom in Surrey.

The position is permanent.

Key Features of the Role:
The Company’s business is all about happy customers so they are looking for a General Manager, who has the personality to lead and motivate the entire Kitchen and Front of House team.

Someone who can contribute to the overall success of the company by managing all business aspects of the gastro pub effectively.
Your responsibility is to be the figure head and to lead by example.

Maintaining good gross profit margins, hygiene standards, stock rotation and ordering as well as maintaining employee engagement and the high standards that the company expects.
Dealing with local suppliers and the daily maintenance of the venue.

Keeping on top of customer satisfaction ratings and coming up with ways of promoting the venue.
You will need to thrive in a very busy, multi-tasking environment as part of a team.

Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an accomplished General Manager ideally with experience of working at a similar level in a similar sort of branded gastro pub environment.
Able to understand and compile reports, necessary wet and dry stock paperwork and payroll, and can use computer systems.

You should have a commercial and financial understanding of controlling costs and stocks and a good knowledge of hygiene, health and safety.
Engage with all staff to continually improve standards and customer satisfaction, through training and development, plus external certificates and qualifications.
You should have a passion for producing the perfect customer experience every time, an experienced and natural team leader, who can respectfully communicate.
Alternatively, as the Company is supportive to the ex-military community, they welcome applications from candidates at all levels who are either about to leave the Armed Forces or who are ex-military.

What’s on Offer:
Established in 2003 the Company is offering a General Manager salary which will be in the region of £26-35k per annum plus tips which will be worth around £80 per week.

In addition, there is also a monthly bonus scheme.

Other benefits include a pension scheme, staff loyalty Scheme after 3 months and Childcare Vouchers.
Standard working week is 45 hours working 5 shifts a week.
