Project Consultant - Charities (Associate)

Principal Consultant: A Principal Consultant is required to join a highly regarded charity sector fundraising consultancy that works with smaller charitable status organisations in London and the southeast on long-term engagements and projects that will make a big and lasting difference.

This is a ‘portfolio career' opportunity for an experienced charity sector individual to work closely with a number of existing clients, typically 1-2 billable days per week, working independently and supported by the Managing Consultant.

Working patterns can be negotiated with clients, so this would suit someone seeking flexible working arrangements.

This boutique consultancy provides part-time fundraising directors and expertise such as project lead on capital projects, strategy and project development, bid writing and training.

(Note: the consultancy does not directly ask supporters for money, but we do provide coaching for clients to do so successfully).

Applicants need to be capable of inspiring confidence and trust in both clients and potential clients, and have the confidence required to carry through difficult fundraising projects.

You will have worked at Head or Director level, with experience of Trusts and Foundations, Major Donors, and Events based fundraising.

We do not offer advice on GDPR, direct mail or data analysis.

Clients are primarily faith based and arts organisations and further opportunities exist across education sector and sports clubs with charitable status.

We are therefore looking for Principals with either a background in revenue or capital fundraising appeals for charitable organisations.

Any experience with faith based organisations or a background in arts fundraising is ideal.

You must be a skilled and persuasive writer as the Consultancy's reputation is based upon exceptionally high standards of written work - success at securing funding through written bids is well above industry norms.

Experience of working within a Heritage Lottery Fund project framework would be a distinct advantage.

You should have already left full time employment and be seeking a future where you have a portfolio career working for multiple clients and a lifestyle that works for you.

Projects are within the London region at client sites (typically 1 day per week), and there will also be an element of home working.
