DATA AUDIT MANAGER

Job description:


Core-Asset Consulting's client, a global asset management firm, are seeking a Data Audit Manager to join their team in Edinburgh for an initial contract of 6 months.


Core requirements:



  • Educated to degree level with a relevant professional qualification or experience (e.g.

    accounting, audit, risk)

  • Experience working in data driven environments

  • In-depth experience of undertaking and managing audits/controls assurance reviews within a financial services operations and/or investment management context

  • Proven relationship management skills, with a track record of engaging and influencing key stakeholders

  • Experience of developing and executing upon a data enabled internal audit strategy, including a programme of continuous assurance


Core responsibilities:



  • Communicate audit findings effectively to Senior Management in a clear, concise and influential manner to mitigate risk

  • Development of GIA's programme of data analytics and continuous assurance

  • Performance manage aligned staff, ensuring quality conversations are held to set objectives and provide honest feedback to drive performance and develop talent within the portfolio

  • Responsible for collaborating with other GIA portfolios and Risk and Control functions to ensure a coordinated, consistent approach to risk management is adopted

  • Input to development and support to deliver strategy (including putting customer needs at the heart of everything we do) through audit planning ensuring the focus of IA's work is on the highest risk areas.

    Resolve risks and issues, only escalating complex ones
