Job description:

Core-Asset Consulting's client, a global asset management firm, are seeking a Methodology and Quality Assurance Manager to join their team in Edinburgh for an initial contract of 12 months.

Core requirements:

  • Educated to degree level with a relevant professional qualification or experience (e.g.

    accounting, audit, risk)

  • Experience of working in internal audit methodology and quality assurance roles

  • In-depth understanding of IIA standards and working practices

  • Proven relationship management skills, with a track record of engaging and influencing key stakeholders

  • Experience of managing and developing the performance of individuals / teams

Core responsibilities:

  • Responsible for enhancing and maintaining GIAs audit methodology and working practices, including responding to ad-hoc queries and requests from the team for guidance

  • Development and delivering of a dynamic approach to quality assurance including input into design and best practice, oversight of the live QA process and performance of deep dive file reviews

  • Facilitation of Weekly LT Review process including the oversight of expected Deliverables / meeting agendas / submission of papers, review of all papers

  • Responsible for the oversight, selection and monitoring of GIA's verification and overdue issue process

  • Responsible for performing methodology inductions to new stars including a walkthrough of the audit team structure and position in the company, the role of the Ops Team, the IIA Standards & IIA Code, the GIA Charter, and GIA Methodology

  • Responsible for collaborating with other GIA portfolios and Risk and Control functions to ensure a coordinated, consistent approach to risk management is adopted
