Sales Development Leader/Trainer
The role is substantially more than conventional sales coaching or training as the successful applicant will need to develop the personal inspiration in all aspects of a developing sales model, to be an ambassador and inculcate behavioural change in all staff.
Our client is one of the UK's largest personal technology and support organisations in the UK.
They are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Sales Development Leader to be responsible for leading significant behavioral change initiatives to professionals throughout the UK.
Reporting to the Head of Development and Training, strong links to the operational sales management team and Sales Director, the key tasks include:
, Inspiring and motivate all front-line employees, and their managers, to use their skills and competence in the pursuit of sales excellence.
, Designing, deliver and evaluate training interventions that will develop the skill, confidence and competence of employees within their job roles.
(Both as new skills training, remedial training and additional refresher training)
, Identifying future development within sales and commercial training that will further support the business
, Providing guidance to managers in the observation, coaching and follow up of employees who have been trained to embed latest sales models and processes into their daily practice.
, Ensuring that information is given to all new starters, that it is current and delivered in accordance with the standard sales operating model.
To this end the job holder will probably deliver sales training elements within new employee induction training.
The successful applicant is likely to be a person who enjoys working with and through people with the skills and can embed the organisations business model throughout their approach.
The incumbent should be inspirational, friendly and have the drive to achieve results through a logical and systematic approach.
The job environment requires actively influencing and motivating a variety of people in changing situations.
The person fulfilling the role should have strong influencing skills as selling a concept and bringing about behaviour change must be accomplished by gaining willing acceptance.
The incumbent should enjoy challenging situations and can work within the broad parameters of the organisation.
The ideal person for this position will also be self-starting, goal orientated, inquisitive, imaginative, factual, consistent and somewhat conventional.
This is a national role and the person fulfilling this position will need to be highly mobile, flexible and expect to spend regular periods away from home, at times as often as 2-3 nights a week.
A company vehicle will be provided as part of the package, allowances for travel and sustenance are provided.
