Dangerous Goods Regulator

Role: Dangerous Goods Regulator

Location: Heathrow Airport

Contract: Permanent Full Time contract

Shifts: No set shifts, must be 100% flexible.

Will be a mixture of days and nights.

Salary: Approximately £23,300 rising to £24,220 after 6 months, and £25,300 after 12 months including shift pay.

The role:  

  • Create and update records of all consignments in the computer systems
  • Carry out Dangerous Goods Acceptance checks in accordance with current IATA DG
  • Maintain customer service levels to a high standard in conjunction with the DG Coordinator
  • Ensure compliance of Regulatory Bodies e.g.

    IATA, CAA, HSE, HMRC/Border Force
  • Liaise with customers in a polite and efficient manor
  • Maintain the computer database
  • Separate and distribute DG cargo documents according to airline requirements
  • Liaise with customers to resolve DG rejection errors in a pro-active manor
  • Operate the telephone system in a polite and efficient manor
  • Investigate and report on all queries from customers/airlines/agents/HMC
  • Liaise with office and warehouse staff as appropriate
  • Update all filing as necessary
  • Have an understanding of the requirements of Good Distribution Practice for pharmaceutical and medicinal products
  • Other duties as and when required


MUST have a full manual UK/EU driving licence (3 points maximum)

MUST have not lived/worked outside of the UK in the past 5 years

MUST not have any unspent criminal convictions or cautions

MUST have excellent computer skills

MUST be aged 18+
