Ramp Coordinator

Role: Ramp Coordinator

Location: Biggin Hill Airport

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time – Contracted to a 42 hour week, but due to the nature of this role 100% flexibility is essential.

Shifts: 4 days on, 4 days off – The shift patterns are variable and will depend on the needs of the business.

You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays when your shift pattern dictates.

Salary: Starts at £23,000, rising to £25,000 after 18-24 months.

Annual Leave: 210 hours, plus an extra 67.2 hours for bank holidays

Requirements:

Full manual UK/EU driving license (Maximum of 6 points tolerated) free of any drink/drug or insurance convictions

Must have your own transport

Must not have lived or worked outside of the UK in the past 5 years

Must not have any previous criminal convictions or cautions (unspent)

Must have very good customer service skills

Must be PC literate

Aviation experience is not essential but preferable.

Job Description:

Our client is looking for Permanent, full time Ramp Coordinators at Biggin Hill Airport.

For this role you will be working with V.I.P’s and high end customers, therefore we require you to have an extraordinary attitude towards customer service.

It is a very appealing and glamorous role, you will be working up close and personal with private jets and you will need to be professional at all times to deliver an outstanding customer service experience.

It will be a very hands on role so you will need to be flexible to perform a very wide variety of duties, such as:


  • Coordinating the whole process from arrivals to departure
  • Pulling the aircraft from the hangers
  • Using Tugs to push back the aircraft
  • De-icing
  • Liaising with the aircraft crew and pilots
  • Working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Admin duties; you must be computer literate and have experience with programmes such as Excel.
  • You will be expected to get to know and understand a wide variety if aircraft types
  • Other duties as and when required
