Commercial Development Manager (12 month FTC)

We are a global healthcare / Biotechnology company specialising in the on-going development and commercialisation of products targeting cancer, critical care and other disorders.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Development Manager on a 12-month fixed term contract basis.



You will lead the Commercial Development Team in the management, engineering and delivery of robust, compliant, commercially viable processing solutions for new and established products on behalf of R&D, and Commercial Manufacturing functions through the use of appropriate established and new innovative technologies to meet current and future business objectives.

People Management - Lead and develop team members.

Agree development and training objectives for the team and individuals to ensure capability stays ahead of any opportunity.

Maintain technical and regulatory competence to deliver the business objectives.

Process Development/Optimization — Manage the development/optimisation and transition of products form R&D into the commercial manufacturing site including Equipment and Process Qualification/Validation.

Quality - Ensure adherence to quality metrics, manage relevant change controls, and provide support for development of validation policy, sign off on protocols and define all key process control measures.

Education and Experience

Essential:
, Able to demonstrate successful introduction, commissioning and qualification of equipment and processes which enables consistent delivery of projects on time to the right cost and quality.
, Experience of managing and co coordinating technical teams and time restricted activities
, Experience in handling multiple projects/tasks with tight deadlines
, Experience of managing change and use of change management systems
, Sound technical experience within the field of engineering and/or science
, Able to demonstrate application of continuous improvement tools and techniques (Kaizen, Six Sigma, TPM etc.) to deliver positive solutions.

Desirable:
, Honours Degree or equivalent in an appropriate Engineering / Scientific discipline
, Excellent knowledge of the pharmaceutical / medical device processing industry, best practices, Health and safety and regulatory compliance
, Operational Excellence accredited Green belt or higher
, Experience of delivering technical changes within a Quality Management System
