Logistics Assistant

Our reputable client based in Greenford are currently recruiting for a Logistics Assistant to join their distribution team.

The successful candidate will be a part of the Stores/Logistics Team and will manage the Dispatch and Customer return processes with regards to all outgoing units/components and all incoming repairs.

Key duties:

  • To organise a timely and efficient running of the Goods-In CR (Customer Returns) and Dispatch distribution departments

  • To be able to identify and develop, effective and constructive solutions to challenges encountered within the departments of Goods-In and Dispatch.

  • To provide all customers, internally and externally with excellent level of service

  • To assess and provide a flexible resource within the departments

  • Where necessary in circumstances such as staff leave or sickness, make prompt and pro-active decisions to take action to provide sufficient cover

  • Strict compliance with customer service and quality requirements.

    Ensure that all service failures, damage, discrepancies and incidents are recorded and acted upon effectively and reported.

  • Liaise with other departments both internal and external in order to establish effective and relevant activities and support within the departments of Goods-In, Dispatch ensuring a smooth and efficient supply chain functions.

  • Liaise with courier and freight agents to achieve timely and effective collection and delivery of products.

  • Ensuring accurate records and documents are produced to meet the needs of the customer and the business

  • Accurate warehouse transfers as per defined company procedures.

  • To direct the departments of Goods-in and Dispatch in the storage, inventory management, distribution of materials, supplies, parts, and components

Key Requirements

  • Extensive stores experience essential

  • Excellent planning, communication and organisational skills

  • Methodical and problem solver

  • Ability to problem solve independently, and as part of a team

  • Experience in liaising with internal and external customers

  • Microsoft Excel and Word experience required for the role
