The Role:

Field Sales Engineer

  • Identify, quantify and prioritise industry and infrastructure projects that have influencers (owners, specifiers, engineers, contractors or resellers) within the defined region who are active within the OEM, Industry and Infrastructure marketplace.

  • The industrial projects for focus may include: Rail infrastructure, wireless telecom, fixed line telecom, military vehicles, heavy vehicles, datacenters, construction, food and beverage, turbines and generators, hospitals and laboratories.

  • Present Roxtec solutions to specifying engineers (electrical, control, instrumentation, mechanical, structural) via technical presentations, site visits, installation training, promotion with resellers and other means as appropriate

  • Drive sustainable sales growth through gaining engineering specifications for Roxtec solutions and delivering world-class support throughout the project lifecycle

  • Create and execute targeted sales plan for multi-year engineering and construction projects

  • Identify and communicate resources needed to meet sales objectives

  • Effectively promote and apply Roxtec Core Values, within Roxtec and within industry

  • Plan and manage all customer contacts and meetings within the Roxtec CRM system

The Ideal Person:

Field Sales Engineer

  • University degree or equivalent with mechanical or electrical engineering background.

  • Minimum of 3 years professional sales experience with preference to those that have a successful record presenting complex and/or technical solutions to decision makers, specifying engineers and/or multi-million pound project managers.

  • Existing working relationships within engineering and design firms

  • Existing knowledge of electrical, controls, automation and/or mechanical systems for industrial and infrastructure applications.

  • Strong understanding of industrial business practices and effective sales techniques - must be able to develop, manage and perform to a sales and business plan

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and oral)

  • Proven ability and confidence to prepare and present solutions and strategies to groups of co-workers, clients or prospects.

  • Ability to work with international teams

  • Proven ability to manage long-term and complex sales projects to success

  • Ability to travel internationally on occasion to global Business Unit meetings or Head Office organised training.

  • Must hold a full driving licence and passport.
