Locum Referral & Assessments Social Worker

Bromley Council is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Social Worker to join their Referral and Assessment Service.

Bromley now promises Social Workers in the R&A team to have an average caseload of just 12-15 children which allows you the time to focus on undertaking quality Social Work.

You will have the time to focus on the child as well as yourself, your own development and career ambitions.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assess Children and their Families who may require a Social Work service

  • Draw up plans with and for individual children and their families

  • Undertake preventative work with families in order to reduce the need for care or accommodation.

  • Work with children and young people, families, carers and communities to help them make informed decisions, enabling them to clarify and express their needs and contribute to service planning.

Job requirements

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of 2 years' experience.

  • A valid HCPC registration

  • An understanding of the current legislation relevant to Child Social Care

  • A clear enhanced DBS
