Programme Controls Manager

My client, a major Transport provider, are looking for an Interim Programme Controls Manager to work within their PMO function and help add structure and procedures to a portfolio of projects.

There are several large scale Stastion upgrades that require attention, and it is imperative that they are delivered in a structured and controlled manner.

There have been occasions recently where the necessary processes have not been followed, and this has been detrimental to the overall portfolio.

The vast majority of these projects are construction and infrastructure focused (installations, redevelopments etc.) and as such, a background working in a PMO within this sector will be highly advantageous.

Key skills:

  • PMO experience, ideally as a Project or Programme Controls Manager

  • Background or recent experience working in the Rail/Construction industry.

  • Stakeholder management experience and the ability to deal effectively with senior staff

  • Experience establishing governance, process, structure and financial reporting and risk monitoring practices

  • Understanding of setting up and implementing workstreams

  • Experience working with various Project Reporting and Management tools (MS Project, PowerPoint, Workfront etc.)
