Lambeth Council is currently looking for an experienced Looked After Childrens Social Worker to join their friendly and expanding team.

What are the responsibilities of a LAC Social Worker?

  • Managing a complex case load of children looked after

  • Pathway Planning

  • Age Assessments

  • Completing court reports

  • Attending team meetings

  • Care proceedings Looked after children reviews

  • Developing care plans

  • Carrying out assessments

Requirements for a LAC Social Worker?

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of 2 years' experience

  • A valid HCPC registration

  • Significant experience of working as a Qualified Social Worker within Court work and Children Protection Teams

  • An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the current legislation relevant to Children's Social Care, Children in Need

  • As the Social Worker, you must hold a full UK Driving License and have access to a vehicle to travel to other areas

  • A current enhanced DBS
