Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Digital and Website Manager on behalf of our clients.


The role is based in the communications department of this prestigious location you will work within a small but dedicated team to increase public awareness.

This role will develop and manage digital communications, marketing and fundraising capabilities.



Duties and Responsibilities:


  •  Develop and manage website and liaise with other departments to ensure effectiveness.
  •  Manage creation of new pages and sections of the website using Drupal CMS. 
  •  Plan, create and develop long term digital content calendars across digital platforms.
  •  Schedule time sensitive content and respond to social media comments and enquiries. 
  •  Lead on social media strategy including content creation and delivery etc.
  •  Ensure training is available to relevant staff. 
  •  Apply editorial and brand guidelines to all digital communications. 
  •  Ensure all digital content adheres to Data Protection regulations and is GDPR compliant. 
  •  Manage PPC accounts to generate traffic to the website, follower growth and engagement with social content. 
  •  Lead on best practises for website and multiplatform digital content. 
  •  Create and track digital KPI’s for website, digital fundraising and social media performance. 
  •  Formulate email marketing strategy. 
  •  Keep up to date with digital marketing trends and deliver relevant strategy propositions. 
  •  Keep websites cookie and privacy policies up to date. 
  •  Oversea and respond to a monthly report on digital communications activity.
  •  Work with fundraising department to support income generation. 
  •  Enhance giving mechanisms on website, social media and other giving platforms.
  •  Formulate and track digital fundraising KPI’s.
  •  Support offline fundraising events through digital communication. 
  •  On occasion assist Head of Communications with media management. 
  •  Represent the Head of Communications at meetings when required. 
  •  Be aware of any reputational risks on social media. 
  •  Lead on the completion of the newly branded website. 
  •  Annually oversee the review of website content and revise statistics and policies. 
  •  Provide out of hours media cover and monitoring, on a rota system.
  •  Provide design support. 

Skills and Qualifications:


  •  Educated to degree level or equivalent, or extensive digital marketing experience. 
  •  Proven experience in digital marketing, including online advertising and search engine optimisation. 
  •  Creative with the ability to plan, track and deliver highly successful digital campaigns. 
  •  Proficient in managing websites via a Drupal based CMS. 
  •  Good copywriting skills and excellent attention to detail.
  •  Experience of InDesign. 
  •  Experience devising and running Google Adwords campaigns. 
  •  Ability to use Google Analytics to evaluate website performance. 
  •  Proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator. 
  •  Project management experience. 
  •  Experience working on brand development and corporate identity projects would be desirable. 
  •  Working within a charity or not-for-profit organisation would be advantageous, especially supporting income generation. 
  •  Photography, filming and video editing would also be an advantage.
