HR Advisor

HR Advisor required for a permanent opportunity for a well-known Engineering company based in Buckinghamshire.



The HR Advisor will act as the HR systems expert to ensure delivery of accurate reporting and effective use of HR systems as a business tool.

To be responsible for the design and release of HR policies and processes and support the Head of HR on all leaning and development activities.

Duties will include:

Systems
Coordinating with HR team to ensure all systems are kept up to date with joiners and leavers, making regular checks to ensure all information has been captured
To ensure that all staff records are maintained on the company systems as required, e.g.

IFS (ERP), 81 Boxes, Learning Management System, Insight (self-service portal), ADP Payroll Flex form and CIPHR (HRIS)
Answering all helpdesk calls in relation to IFS Time & Attendance (T&A) and HR modules
Making changes to the IFS build to proactively improve its effectiveness as a business tool
Identify and fix issues within the HR and Time & Attendance modules of IFS and work closely with Head of Business Improvement to ensure smooth integration with the wider ERP requirements
Keep IFS step-by-step guides for HR and Time & Attendance modules updated and release new versions when appropriate
Set-up and development of effective PDR tool currently ‘Insight'
Liaise with Finance to ensure all employees cost centres, labour classes and resource groups are accurately captured within IFS
As system expert ensure CIPHR (or other HR system) is built and maintained in a way to ensure accurate reporting
As system expert ensure the HR and T&A modules of IFS are functioning correctly, enabling HR to use the tool effectively

Reporting
Accurately generating ad hoc reports for Head of HR and other managers as requested and regularly reviewing what further reports might be required for better business decision making
Running weekly reports for the Managing Director regarding working time and clocking's
Ensure weekly reports on timesheet completion are produced chase up missing timesheets
Produce monthly figures for head of HR and Finance for Head Office Reporting
Develop metrics for monitoring HR performance and produce KPI's for ongoing review by Head of HR

Policies and Procedures
Develop and maintain all HR policies and procedures, tracking employment law changes/internal process changes for policy or procedural updates and support Head of HR in annual review of same
Prepare updates to the Employee Guide in line with changes in employment law or internal process changes, working closely with Head of HR
Ensure internal forms are suitable for business use and in line with policies and procedures, review where necessary in conjunction with HR Advisor team
Develop and maintain HR Operating Procedures Manual
Make recommendations for improving the HR team processes to increase business effectiveness

Employee Relations
Support the Head of HR in preparation for any Employment Tribunal issues
Support Head of HR and HR Business Partners on general employee relations issues
Conducting of external salary surveys when required including pay benchmarking
