The Geography department is part of Humanities and is made up of one Subject Leader and 5 specialist teachers.

The Humanities College is the largest College within the Academy, and the team of 30 staff is vibrant and enthusiastic, and all are highly committed to their subjects as well as their profession.

The College continues to support the development of new teachers through mentoring PGCE and GTP students as well as newly-qualified teachers who join the team.

The College has high expectations and is committed to delivering excellence in lessons, and the 350-strong student body drives the achievement agenda, with a strong desire to succeed and achieve their potential.

In July 2015, Ofsted graded the Academy as ‘Good' in all areas and they are moving forward in our continued journey towards ‘Outstanding'.

We are looking for an experienced Geography teacher to join this hard-working, committed team.

The department is extremely supportive of each other and is led by fantastic practitioners who are forward-thinking, innovative and motivated to ensure all students achieve well and develop an enjoyment of the subject.
