This Academy School's motto is Aspire, Achieve and Excel.

The school expect pupils to work hard be well disciplined, achieve the best of their ability and take pride in all that they do.

In September 2011 the school became an Academy.

In just one year later Ofsted judged the Academy as 'Good with Outstanding features' recognising the relentless focus and ambition the school has.

In the Secondary part of the Academy there are 1,322 of mixed ability pupils of which 130 are on the sixth form role.

The age ranges from 11 to 18 years.

Pupils are well behaved and feel safe in the Academy.

All pupils are given the opportunity to participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities at lunch time and after school such as football, basketball and rugby.
