A fantastic opportunity for an Executive Assistant to join awell-established charity in Wigan and Leigh has which has been operating since 1983.

They provide a wide range of palliative care services to people with advancinglife-limiting illnesses of any diagnosis and to those people important to them.

The support offered is tailored to meet individuals’ physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.        

About the role

An Executive Assistant is required to work in a standalone role supporting the senior leadership team (SLT).

You will join the hospice during an exciting period of growth as a number of new posts is recruited for.           

As Executive Assistant you will provide a high quality PA, secretarial and administration support to the Chief Executive, Clinical Director and Consultant.

You will have previous experience of supporting senior leadership teams and providing admin support to a number of disciplines.

You will be fluent at minute taking, drafting correspondence on behalf of SLT, managing projects and prioritising work to meet changeable deadlines.        

The role requires someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills, who is adaptable, has project management experience, is a quick learner and is assertive, confident and approachable.

RSA stage 3 or equivalent and healthcare / charitable experience are desirable however not essential for this role.

The available role           

We are looking to appoint an Executive Assistant, working 37 hours, Monday – Friday, usually 8.30am-4.30pm however flexibility is required as there will be on occasion some meetings in the evenings / at a weekend.
