Content Editor

My fast growing client in Yeovil is recruiting for a Content Editor to join their team on a permanent, full time basis.


Job duties include:



  • Interpreting product information to edit existing copy

  • Create new content and write product descriptions according to house style

  • Writing and editing marketing content, including press releases, web copy, catalogue proofing etc.

  • Assisting technical authors in the organisation and compilation of technical manuals - gathering relevant information, samples, proofing and maintaining relevant files/folders

  • Proofing of catalogue pages and marketing materials as required

  • Proofing of artwork in accordance with house style and artwork style guides

  • Communicating with Buying and Artwork Teams to ensure requests are dealt with efficiently and quickly

  • Assisting with general administrative and file management tasks as and when required


Qualities and experience of the ideal candidate:



  • Experience writing/editing marketing content and an understanding of basic SEO principles

  • Excellent standard of English due to nature of role

  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Good user experience with basic Microsoft packages (Word/Excel etc)

  • Positive ‘can do' attitude and team player


Location: Yeovil
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:30
Salary: £18,000-£21,000 dependent on experience
