Development Engineer

Are you an established Development Engineer with Electronic or Communication experience?

A highly technical and industry leading client is looking to appoint a new Development Engineer to work within there New Product Development projects and support some existing products.

To be considered for this Development Engineer Opportunity, you will need the following experience:

* Experience of designing for manufacture and assembly

*Material and process knowledge

*Experience in working in a laboratory environment

*Use of Microsoft Office tools

*Ability to convert customer ideas into products

*Degree level in Physics or similar

The successful Development Engineer's responsibilities will be:

*To support design and development of new and existing products to time and cost.

*Implement new processes and procedures to reduce manufacturing costs and improve quality.

*To understand design and test requirements.

*To assist feasibility design concepts at bid and scope stage, provide cost estimates for development of such concepts.

*Introduce novel solutions whilst adhering to New Product Introduction processes and associated company procedures.

*Produce engineering reports.

*Maintain effective and good working relationships with customers (internal and external), project stakeholders and suppliers.

*Monitor and analyse yield of new processes, driving thorough root cause analysis and permanent resolution to ensure final cost expectations are met before hand over to manufacture in volume.
