Head of Patient Services

Head of Patient Services & Clinical Governance - Location Swindon

We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity as a Head of Patient Services & Clinical Governance Lead.

The postholder will support the Director of Patient Services also act as deputy for the Director at internal and external meetings and be the Accountable Officer (Controlled Drugs) for the organisation, adhering to all legal and governance requirements.
The Head of Patient Services & Clinical Governance is responsible for inspiring, developing and managing the multi-disciplinary patient services provision, including oversight of the quality of patient and family services.

A key element will be to provide leadership and expert advice on Clinical Governance and coordinate all aspects of Clinical Governance across the Patient Services directorate.

Experience in a senior clinical position within palliative care or a related specialty, including managing a service.
Experience of development and implementation of strategy and/or business planning, including identification of key performance indicators and outcomes.
Proven understanding of the principles of effective financial and resource management.
Experience of multi-disciplinary team working.
Good knowledge of the importance of management information systems to effective management practice and communications.
