Wheels Manager

We have a great opportunity for a Section Manager (Wheel department) to join an award-winning wholesaler to join their facility based in Liverpool.

This business supplies products across the world and is highly recognised as a market leader within their field of work.

The Role

Primarily supporting and working for the Operations Manager in the Wheels sections & the Wheels division in the production of tyres fitting and assembly section which also includes the refurbishment of wheels.

Working days primarily this role will be responsible for the delivery of the wheels business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Wheels production volumes in line with resource and peak business planning

  • Support & development of an effective team

  • Health and Safety compliance within your department

  • Compliance to agreed specification for each built up wheel ( through the team)

  • Management of Production Lead times in line with customer expectations

  • Quality Control of finished product

  • Problem Solving - Thinking on the job

  • Internal Liaison with Sales Team, supporting technical challenges

  • People Management

  • Maintenance of IT systems in line with business needs

  • Responsibility for the quality of work carried out by the wheels team, Ensuring QC checks are carried out at various stages, results are monitored, areas for improvements identified and implemented.

  • Liaison with colleague(s) to execute overall wheels business plans.

  • Undertaking of all other duties as required to best support business needs.

  • To constantly seek out continual improvement / best practice within your team/department

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate strong leadership and managerial experience.

This includes managing the day to day activities along with KPI's, holidays, sickness and disciplinary's.

Other skills and experience include the following;

  • Good Level of IT skills

  • Good H&S awareness, First Aid & Fire Warden

  • Must be experienced in migrating into new Warehouses - Desirable

  • Production Management - Engineering Background would be advantageous but not essential

  • Practical Hands-on approach

  • Team Management - Essential

Salary: £26,000 + Monthly Bonus
