Monday - Friday - 40 hours per week


Increased hours in Shutdown Season Period


£19ph Monday - Friday (0800 - 1700)


Overtime Rates Available upto £38ph


£35 Accommodation Allowance

My client is a specialist engineering firm providing engineering resource to the Power Industry, in particular renewable energy.

Due to continued growth and increased successful tenders my client require 2 x mechanical fitters for a project in North Wales - This long-term contract will be at standard hours with increased hours during shutdowns and when required.

The Role of Mechanical Fitter




  • Maintain power station plant and equipment




  • PPM and breakdown maintenance




  • Keep records and reports of maintenance activities




  • Perform fault diagnosis on plant and equipment




  • Liaise with other teams in production performance issues




  • Maintaining heavy mechanical plant




  • Pressure and hydraulic systems




  • Working to safety procedures and practices




  • operating workshop machines




  • Using various welding techniques





The Right Mechanical Fitter


Essential




  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship




  • City & Guilds Part III, NVQ level 3 and Key Skills or equivalent




  • IOSH Working Safely Certificate or equivalent




  • CCNSG




  • Hydraulic Plant Experience




  • Pneumatic and Pressure Systems




Desirable




  • BTEC National Certificate in an engineering




  • MEWP Driving Certificate




  • IPAF Certificate
