Mechanical Fitter / Tester

Are you a Mechanical Fitter / Tester with previous experience of working on Hydraulic pump or valves?

The role/ responsibilities of a Mechanical Fitter


The appointed Mechanical Fitter / Tester will Undertaking assembly, Testing, instrumentation and associated tasks related to Valves & Controls to a high standard and must be able to read engineering drawings and work instructions.


Experience



  • Heavy mechanical build and assembly (pumps, valves, hydraulics etc.)

  • Take on the responsibility for the mechanical testing and assembly work of hydraulic valves, pumps and similar equipment

  • Building new machinery according to engineering drawings and build instructions

  • Hydraulic testing / pressure testing / vessel testing



  • Report writing on faults as appropriate after analysing for root cause of failure after testing

  • Responsible for the general cleanliness and care of personal workbench area and that of the main workshop

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the assembly

  • Apprentice trained engineer (NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification minimum).

  • A Mechanical assembly engineering background.

  • Knowledge of Valves, Control, Instrumentation and Testing


About you:



  • To be successful for this Mechanical Fitters role, you'll have previously worked within the engineering industry with previous experience of Mechanical building and Test.

The position is offered a Permanent basis working 37.5 Hours per week 7.30am-4.00pm (Monday to Thursday) 7.30am - 12.30pm (Friday) and paying a salary of £25800 + overtime with 33 days holiday per year and you will receive benefits such as
