Supervising Social Worker - Independent Fostering Agency

A small Independent Fostering Agency are looking for a Supervising Social Worker based in South Shropshire.

This is a Permanent, full-time and office-based position.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Supervising Social Worker:

• Training, assessing and supporting Foster Carers


• Recruiting Foster Carers


• Supervising Foster Carers


• Working to agreed timescales


• Managing a case load of up to 12 Foster Carers


• Working in an Out-Of-Hours rota

Requirements of the Supervising Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/Diploma)


• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)


• Experience of working within a Fostering team


• Be willing to participate in an out of hours' rota


• A working knowledge and understanding of the current legislation and frameworks relevant to Children Social Care and Fostering

Location: South Shropshire

Salary: Up to just over £32,000
