The Role & Responsibilities:
As the Business Development Manager you will develop and close new business within a variety of sectors that will include the Insurance and I.T sector.
You will be selling a range of travel management and expense management solutions, pitching to senior level executives.
You will use your proactive skills to generate new leads, and close new business using your excellent communication and presentation skills.
This role will be margin based, so the ability to be savvy with financials is key, to ensure you sign the most profitable deals for the business, but also ensure you receive as much commission as possible!
The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company.
This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills.
They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.
The ability to communicate, present, and sell is more important than travel industry experience
* Candidate must be able to bring Corporate clients with them
* 3 - 4 years prior industry related business development experience (including travel management or expense management)
* New business sales experience not just reactive sales
* Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
* Focus on selling into insurance or IT would be ideal
The successful candidate will have new business sales experience of at least 5 years, ideally working in a travel management or expense management market.
A focus on selling into the Insurance and I.T services or a sector that you have experience in and B2B experience in a related event, (but your experience must be proactive new business sales, and not just reactive sales).
The ability to communicate, present, and sell is more important than travel industry experience.
1st stage telephone interview 2nd stage is a face to face
Holidays: minimum 20 Days up to 30 Days + bank holidays Pension: Government scheme Commission: 10% - 30% Quarterly bonus scheme Xmas bonus
For this Business Development Manager role you will be rewarded with a basic salary of between £35,000 and £45,000 with a commission structure
10% to 30%+Quarterly awards+Xmas Bonus
