Job Title: Production Team Leader (Assembly)

Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester

Salary: £27000 to £28000

Hours: Monday-Friday

8am-4.30pm (Early finish on a Friday)

Assembly Supervisor                                                                                                                                             

The Candidate

-          Experienced managing a team of assemblers

-          Ability to read engineering drawings

-          Great attention to detail

-          Experience of Lean Manufacturing (5S, Continuous Improvement techniques)

-          Ability to problem solve and use problem solving tools

-          Experienced sending products off for dispatch

-          Experience working in a mechanical or electrical assembly environment

Assembly Supervisor

The Role

-          Manage a team of assemblers ensuring all products are assembled to the highest quality and final quality checks are completed

-          Ensure correct PPE is worn and the work area is kept tidy

-          Attend H&S meetings and contribute to health and safety policies

-          Attend daily production meetings ensuring all orders are on time and schedule

-          Assign work for the day

-          Coach and develop team members

-          Book stock into the ERP system and ensure it is shipped on time

-          Reduce shipping costs by strategic negotiations with freight forwarders

-          Report monthly on team performance
