About this Role

This role entails helping win business, increase sales from both existing and new customers, and significantly contribute to the growth of the company's heat transfer division, made up of:



  • Heat exchanger servicing

  • Integrity testing

  • Sales of heat exchangers, replacement plate packs, plates and gaskets to both existing and new customers



Skills & Experience Required



  • Knowledge of plate heat exchangers and heat transfer equipment

  • Knowledge of integrity testing

  • Detailed knowledge of general process components

  • Sales techniques and negotiation skills

  • Presentation skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial concepts used within the sales function of the business including profit margins, markup, invoicing procedure and terms of credit

  • Able to working both alone and as part of a team

  • Friendly and personable but assertive when required to be so

  • Able to build relationships with people at all levels

  • Full driving licence - essential to the position



You'll have the following Responsibilities



  • Visiting customers based predominately in Scotland and the North of England (as far as Newcastle)

  • Develop and build strong customer relationships

  • Conversion of enquiries to orders

  • Secure new customers by converting prospects into customers

  • Prospect for new customers at all available opportunities

  • Seek out opportunities with existing customers

  • Deal with enquiries in a timely and efficient manner

  • Provide information to internal sales for enquiry/order processing

  • Prepare and submit quotations and contract agreements and ensure these are followed up

  • Identify additional process spare parts, service and project opportunities for other divisions to follow up
