Behaviour Mentor



We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join our team.

As a Mentor, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance, support, and education to children in need.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist and mentor children in various areas of their development, including speech therapy, behaviour management, in secondary education.

Responsibilities:


- Provide one-on-one mentoring and support to children
- Assist with educational activities and lessons
- Implement behaviour management strategies
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to develop individualized plans for each child
- Monitor and track progress of each child's development
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Offer guidance and support in social and emotional development
- Provide assistance with daily tasks such as mealtime, toileting, and hygiene


Qualifications:


- Previous experience in childcare or mentoring roles preferred
- Knowledge of secondary education principles and practices
- Familiarity with speech therapy techniques is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviours
- Patience, empathy, and understanding towards children with special needs
- Proofreading skills to assist with educational materials
