CNC Turner

Location: Portsmouth

Shift pattern: 6am-2pm Mon-Fri, 2pm-11pm Mon-Thurs, 2-6pm Fri

Salary: £16.50-18 per hour dependent on experience

We are currently working in partnership with a best-in-class successful complex component manufacturing company that provide global services.

Due to their continued success and internal promotions, they are looking for a CNC Turner Programmer to join their busy machining department.

CNC Turner Programmer responsibilities:

- Programming, setting and operating 2-axis CNC lathes using Mazak controls.
- Ability to adjust machine offset coordinates to correct manufacturing environments.
- Good knowledge in tool setting and tooling requirements.
- Ability to adjust machine offset coordinates to repeat manufacturing requirements.
- Comfortable performing inspection on components using manual measuring tools.
- Work and promote the culture of continuous improvement, 5S and Lean manufacturing standards.

CNC Turner Programmer requirements:

- Minimum of three years previous experience of programming within a precision machining centre is essential.
- Used to working to tight tolerances on all types of materials.
- Ability to use measuring equipment including: micrometers, height gauges, comparators, bore clocks.
