Health & Safety Supervisor

A Health & Safety Supervisor is required in an established steel company based in Essex.

Job Details:

• The ideal candidate would be expected to be hands on, completing site audits and assisting in site set up and the general running of small sites in our role as principal contractor.


• In addition to site duties we have a large steelwork manufacturing workshop and busy stores and office.


• The ideal candidate will manage their time between site and depot responsibilities.


• Previous experience in the structural steel, manufacture and erection industry would be greatly valued.


• Experience in the marine and port industry would also be a benefit, as would knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• With our Health & Safety Consultant review and manage our Health & Safety policies and documents.


• Preparation for ISO 9001, ISO 45001, EN1090 & SSIP audits.


• Creating Construction Phase Plans.


• Assisting with the creation of site Risk Assessments and Method Statements.


• Peer review of site Risk Assessments and Method Statements.


• Updating and review of our risk register.


• Creating and completing site inductions.


• Issuing permits and completing periodical plant and equipment checks.


• Completing tool box talks.


• Assessing and managing training needs.


• Work alongside our site supervisors in the safe running of sites.

Package:

• Up to £50k salary depending on experience.


• Car package.
