Teach Plus is working with a dynamic and inclusive primary school located in Brent, who are looking for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to start with them in September.

The school promotes a stimulating and positive learning environment where all children feel safe and valued as individuals.

The school has a friendly community and celebrates an ambitious and creative curriculum, ensuring that all pupils, including those with SEND can achieve well.

The role is a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role to commence in September 2024, supporting children with a range of SEN needs across the school.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be required to:

• Deliver lessons on a one to one basis


• Follow the class teacher and SENCO's direction in supporting the child both inside and outside the classroom


• Follow plans for activities and intervention sessions provided by the class teacher


• Ensure the child feels supported and safe by having a warm and nurturing approach


• Promoting Inclusion by fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment


• Support the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)


• Communicate with the SENCO, Class Teachers and other SEN Teaching Assistant's involved in the child's education

The ideal candidate for an SEN Teaching Assistant role will have:

• Have experience with Special Educational Needs such as Autism, Speech and Language and ADHD


• A good knowledge of Special Educational Needs


• Have experience working with students, ideally in an educational setting


• Patience, resilience and be supportive


• The ability to build rapport with the child and be able to respond to the child's individual needs


• Right to work in the UK


• Enhanced DBS Certificate, however, if you need to apply for a certificate, we can easily apply for a new check for you.
