Production planner

We are looking for an experienced Planner to coordinate and optimize our production processes.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of finished products, and maximizing efficiency while minimizing costs.

The Production Planner will collaborate closely with various departments to maintain seamless operations throughout the production cycle



the Production Planner role is located in Halifax

The Production Planner key responsibilities:




  • Develop schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory levels.

  • Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.

  • Monitor progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery deadlines.

  • Analyse data to identify opportunities for optimisation and process improvement.

  • Maintain accurate records of activities and performance metrics.

  • Communicate effectively with senior management to provide updates on production status and address any issues or concerns.

  • Implement strategies to minimize waste and reduce production costs while maintaining quality standards.

  • Ensure inventory levels are accurate and organise stock checks as and when required

  • Ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed and recorded in the production department





For the Production Planner role, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess:



  • Previous experience working in a similar role (Planning, Scheduling, Coordinating etc.) within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment

  • Strong IT skills with the ability to pick up new processes and procedures quickly with initial guidance

  • Previous experience using ERP systems/software



Working hours of the Production Planner:
37.5 Hours per week, spread across a regular day shift

In return the Production Planner will receive:



  • Annual Salary: £30,000.- £32000
