EXETER / HYBRID - WFH 2 DAYS PER WEEK

SALARY UP TO £50,000 + BENEFITS (POSSIBLY NEGOTIABLE TO £55k)

THE COMPANY:

We're proud to be exclusively partnering with a Private Equity Backed business located in Exeter that is looking to expand their finance team with the addition of an experienced Management Accountant.

As the Management Accountant, you'll be reporting to the Financial Controller and be responsible for managing the end-to-end Management Accounts and provide accompanying commentary and analysis to support with key decision making throughout the business.

The role will include; Management Accounts, Financial Reporting, Cost Analysis, Revenue Recognition, Implementing Financial Controls and Management Reporting.

This is the perfect opportunity for an Experienced Management Accountant, that is ideally fully CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified, that would love to join a fast-paced, forward-thinking organisation.

THE MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

• As the Management Accountant, you'll be working closely with the Financial Controller and key department heads to enable you to produce the Monthly Management Accounts


• Leading on the preparation of monthly management accounts with an objective of WD4, whilst ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial information.


• Taking responsibility for the Analysis of variances between actual financial results and budgeted figures, providing full commentary explanations and insights to management.


• Undertaking Statutory HMRC Submissions for Quarterly VAT and Monthly PAYE.


• Conducting in-depth analysis of costs and expenses, identifying trends and areas for improvement.


• Assisting with the development of annual budgets and forecasts, whilst reviewing actual performance


• Implementing and maintain strong financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


• Reviewing, evaluating, and improving accounting processes and procedures.


• Ensuring accurate cash controls and adherence to standard operating procedures


• Prepare comprehensive management reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.


• Present financial information to senior management team and providing data insights.


• Prepare & present Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations identifying strengths, weaknesses and areas for improvement, risks.


• Working closely with other departments to provide financial support and insights for decision-making.


• Supporting the Financial Controller with external and internal stakeholders


• Provide support and guidance to the finance team, including mentoring and coaching team members.

THE PERSON:

• Must have experience in a Management Accountant role or have held a role such as a Finance Analyst, Finance Business Partner or Finance Manager, where you've held responsibility for managing the end-to-end management accounts process.


• Ideally Fully CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified, Part Qualified or Finalists will be considered.


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.


• Any experience with Dynamics 365 / Business Central would be an advantage, but this is by no means essential.


• Proficient with MS Excel to an intermediate to Advanced Level


• Excellent communication and presentation skills.


• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
