A leading insurance firm in Bradford is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Handler to join their dynamic team.

About the Role: We're looking for a seasoned professional to handle a range of commercial claims, with a particular focus on Motor/Fleet, Property, and Liability.

The ideal candidate will combine expert knowledge with exceptional customer service skills.


Key Responsibilities:

• Manage claims from initial notification through to settlement


• Provide professional advice and maintain high service standards


• Negotiate effectively to achieve optimal outcomes


• Maintain accurate records and a robust diary system


• Liaise with clients, insurers, and other relevant parties


• Authorize claim payments under delegated authority


• Contribute to management information on claims issues


• Engage in ongoing professional development

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in handling diverse insurance claims


• Strong communication and negotiation skills


• Proficiency in IT systems, particularly Excel


• Excellent organizational and time management abilities


• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred Experience:

• Background in a brokerage environment


• Familiarity with scheme claims and binder procedures


• Experience with PI, D&O, and Cyber claims


• Knowledge of Acturis system
