Tool Setter
Job Title: Injection Moulding Setter
Location: Manchester
Working Hours: 6am - 6pm & 6pm - 6am rotating weekly (Monday to Thursday only)

Our client, a well-established manufacturer of Injection Moulded components, is seeking skilled candidates for the role of Injection Mould Setter.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor Production Processes: Ensure optimum running conditions and maintain high-quality standards.
- Tooling Change Overs: Efficiently manage tooling changeovers to minimise downtime.
- Issue Resolution: Address machine-related production and quality issues promptly.
- Shift Handovers: Provide thorough end-of-shift handovers to maintain continuity.
- Quality Production: Produce high-quality moulded products and perform barrel and screw cleaning.
- Extrusion Line Assistance: Aid in the start-up and shutdown of extrusion lines.
- Quality Monitoring: Consistently monitor and maintain product quality in accordance with specifications.
- Material Handling: Use fork trucks and manual methods to move raw materials and finished products.
- Tool Trials: Conduct tool trials to ensure optimal production.
- Team Support: Assist other moulding setters and operators, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Scrap Minimisation: Strive to keep moulded product scrap to a minimum.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and tidy workplace, adhering to 5S principles.
- Quality Checks: Measure and record quality checks throughout each shift.
- Procedure Adherence: Follow and understand operating procedures and setting sheets for moulded products.
- Immediate Reporting: Inform the Production Manager of any breaches of work rules immediately.
