Position: Cardiac Echocardiogram Sonographer
Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Salary: Up to £50,000 Per Annum (Dependent on experience)
Hours: Part-Time - 2 days per week - alternating Thursday + Friday / Tuesday + Wednesday each week
Contract: Permanent / Part Time

Due to expansion, the team are seeking a skilled Cardiac Echocardiogram Sonographer to join the award-winning Cardiology Team on a part-time basis.

The department utilizes the latest generation imaging and diagnostic technology, providing advanced treatments across a variety of specialist areas, including screening, rehabilitation, and cutting-edge surgical procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Working in a state-of-the-art department, you will be using GE scanners and an online platform for reporting.

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Performing cardiac sonography investigations for adult and adolescent patients in line with BSE guidance.

  • Assessing patients' health and wellbeing across complex and varying cases.

  • Contributing to the implementation of new cardiac services.

  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives.

  • Utilizing technology for measurement, monitoring, and treatment.

  • Understanding and mitigating the risks of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI).



Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy individual with excellent interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will have:



  • A BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent

  • Completion of BSE

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience as a registered echocardiographer

  • BSE registration

  • Proficiency in scanning adults, with the ability to scan adolescent patients being highly desirable
