Contract Cost Accountant - Hybrid Working - Reading

Our client who specialises in mission critical systems for the defence industry, is looking for a pro active Contract Cost Accountant to join them on a contract basis.

Based in Reading, this role offers the flexibility of hybrid working, allowing you to balance office presence with remote work.

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with a proven track record in cost accounting to drive a transformation and reconciliation project to assist with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities for Contract Cost Accountant - Hybrid Working - Reading:

- Analyse and manage cost structures

- Develop and implement cost control processes

- Confidently be able to understand inventory accounts

-Proven experience in Industrial inventory management

- Relevant accounting qualifications (e.G., ACCA, CIMA)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Proficient in financial software and Excel

- Excellent communication skills
