Hybrid Quantity Surveyor

A structural steel company based in West Yorkshire is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team for an immediate start.

This role offers the opportunity to focus solely on quantity surveying or to combine it with project management responsibilities, depending on your preference.

Important details:
, Salary: Up to £75K
, Hours: 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
, Benefits: 5% pension contribution, 25 days of annual leave (excluding bank holidays), death in service insurance.
, Location: Remote work is considered, though 3 days onsite is required.

Key Responsibilities:
, Oversee contract administration, including reviewing and negotiating terms and conditions.
, Manage procurement processes, including subcontractor selection and evaluation.
, Prepare and submit accurate variations and claims, ensuring alignment with site instructions.
, Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications.
, For the dual role: Manage projects, coordinate with contracts and site teams, and oversee project progression from initial survey to final account negotiation.
, Handle packages ranging from £100K to £4M, with an average of £500K to £1.5M.
, Attend site and client meetings as required (nationwide travel).

Qualifications and Skills:
, Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with 3-5 years minimum in the structural steel industry.
, Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, with the ability to manage complex contracts.
, Proficiency in reading and understanding structural steelwork general arrangement drawings.
, Experience in project management is a plus for those interested in the dual role.
