Location: Nottingham
Pay: up to £40,000 dependent on experience/role)
Hours: Full time (37.5) various shifts (part time hours also considered)
Contract: Permanent

MediTalent is recruiting a Theatre Nurse / ODP (Operating Department Practitioner) for a private hospital in the Nottingham area.

This hospital, with 85 beds, 5 operating theatres, and an ICU unit, provides a wide range of elective surgeries and procedures.

It services primarily to private patients but also handles small NHS patient lists.

This role is ideal for a dedicated professional with a background and strong career interest in theatre nursing and/or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) departments.

Role Overview:



  • Work Environment: You'll be part of a friendly, well-established theatre team

  • Specialisation: There will be opportunities available for specialists in both scrub and / or anaesthetics.

  • Specialities: You'll gain experience across multiple disciplines, including but not limited to:

    • ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat)

    • Plastics

    • Gynaecology

    • Urology

    • General Surgery

    • Cardiac

    • Neurosurgery

    • Cosmetics

    • Ophthalmology

    • Minor & Major Orthopaedics





Candidate Requirements:



  • Experience: A minimum of 12 months UK theatre experience in either scrub or anaesthetics.

  • Skills:

    • Strong communication skills.

    • A flexible approach to work.



  • Professionalism: Ability to work efficiently in a team within a dynamic theatre environment.


Essential Qualifications:



  • NMC/HCPC Registration: You must hold a valid NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) or HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) pin.

  • Scrub Experience: At least 1 year of experience within scrub is essential.
