Job Vacancy: Tool Setter (Injection Moulding)

Location: Brough (HU15)
Hours: 22:00 - 06:00
Salary: Up to £33,500

Are you looking to take the next step in your career with a pivotal role in a prestigious manufacturing firm? We are seeking a Tool Setter (Injection Moulding) to join our dynamic team and ensure seamless production processes by maintaining high-quality standards and optimising machine uptime.

• 
  

  Set tools in presses and initiate start-up in accordance with production requirements.

• 
  

  Ensure the safe operation of Injection Moulding Presses, including start-up and shutdown.

• 
  

  Prepare tools and equipment for tool changes, including proficient use of cranes for slinging and lifting tools.

• 
  

  Present first-off parts to the Quality Department and ensure compliance with Quality and Standard Operating Procedures.

• 
  

  Set up robot heads and load programmes efficiently.

• 
  

  Report faults to the tool-room or maintenance teams as per company protocols.

• 
  

  Complete job packs accurately before and during tool changes, recording deviations and troubleshooting issues proactively.

• 
  

  Assist in process improvements under the guidance of the Process Engineer or Lead Setter.

• 
  

  Conduct safety checks, maintain housekeeping around machine areas, and carry out routine maintenance checks.

• 
  

  Participate in SMED activities, work towards KPI targets related to tool change times and OEE data.

• 
  

  Perform colour changes and undertake additional projects as required by management.

• 
  

  Proven experience in a similar role within injection moulding.

• 
  

  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• 
  

  Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.

• 
  

  Commitment to continuous improvement and process optimisation.

• 
  

  Experience with Injection Moulding Presses and relevant safety training is highly desirable.

•
