Ventilation / AHU Engineer

Salary : Up to £38,000pa / 40 hour week / Travel paid / bonus scheme / private health care / life insurance


Location : West Midlands ( staying away from home maybe required as our work is across the Midlands and south of the midlands )

We are looking for a skilled AHU Engineer to join our dynamic team and support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of our swimming pool ventilation systems.


Job Purpose:


The AHU Engineer will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting of air handling units and dehumidification systems designed for swimming pools and other high-humidity environments.

This role requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, particularly in pool ventilation, and the ability to provide technical support to clients and contractors.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Repair and maintain AHUs and ventilation systems for swimming pools.

  • Conduct diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical components.

  • Ensure systems comply with industry standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.

  • Provide technical support and advice to clients, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Perform routine and reactive maintenance to optimize system performance.

  • Assist with system upgrades, modifications, and performance improvements.

  • Work closely with the design and sales teams to ensure correct system specifications.

  • Complete service reports and documentation in a timely manner.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards on-site.


Skills & Experience Required:



  • Proven experience working with air handling units (AHUs) and ventilation systems, preferably in swimming pool environments.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, dehumidification, and air distribution systems.

  • Experience with electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repair.

  • Knowledge of controls

  • Understanding of industry regulations and best practices in ventilation and air quality control.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients and contractors.

  • Full UK driving license (if applicable for field-based roles).


Desirable Qualifications:



  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
