Qualified Residential Care Practitioner - Solihull

Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for a Qualified Residential Care Practitioner for a Children’s Home in  Solihull.

Duties will include:


  • Support and work directly with children and young people to promote positive outcomes and independence
  • Engage in activities including play, cooking, personal care, and community involvement
  • Assist with educational and health needs
  • Perform general household duties, maintenance, and health & safety checks
  • Manage budgeting and financial aspects within the home
  • Provide key working and advocacy support
  • Implement behaviour management strategies
  • Maintain high standards in accordance with OFSTED requirements, Children’s Homes Regulations, and the Quality Care Standards
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs
  • Adhere to risk assessments and ensure the safety of all residents
  • Work in collaboration with external agencies and attend necessary meetings and reviews
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation as required

In order to be considered:


  • Previous experience in a children’s care home setting is essential
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence required
  • Familiarity with residential care principles is beneficial
  • Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (Children and Young People's Workforce) or willingness to work towards this qualification
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including overnight stays
  • Must have a valid Right to Work in the UK
